The community of Stoney Creek is part of the city of Hamilton in Ontario. Stoney Creek was its own city from 1984 to 2001 when it became a part of the city on Hamilton. Located on the south shore of western Lake Ontario and east of Hamilton the city has experienced a lot of growth in the past decades.
